Policies and Documents

Booking Policy

At Sarre’s we love having your dog stay with us, even if it’s just for the occasional visit, and because of this we want to be as accommodating as we can. If your time with us is for socialisation, and we are full on the day you have requested, we will offer you the availability we have that week to help ensure your pup gets the socialisation they need.

Unfortunately, we are unable to have you all stay with us at the same time. We have a limited number of Day Care and Boarding spaces available. We accept Day Care bookings up to 4 weeks in advance (we do our best to accommodate our regulars) and Boarding bookings up to 6 months in advance. We appreciate that due to the current global pandemic of Covid-19 the restriction on travel is an ever-changing picture and again, we will be supportive where we can.

We also love to see your dog grow and develop. If you undertake training with Sarre’s, bookings for these sessions will be made directly with Sara. We would love to provide training for everyone but Sara only has so many hours in her day and spaces are limited. Booking well in advance is advised.

Cancellation Policy

Sometimes life can be a little unpredictable and we understand that occasionally plans change at the last minute. In an ideal world we would like you to provide as much notice as you can to cancel your booking to enable us to offer your place to someone else. Unfortunately, this isn’t possible with cancellations for Day Care where less than 48 hours’ notice is given and, in these circumstances, you will be charged.

For Boarding, if your booking is less than a 5 day stay, we ask for 48 hours’ notice of cancellation. A booking of more than 5 days we ask for 7 days’ notice of cancellation. If this period of notice isn’t given a cancellation fee of 50% of the total booking will be invoiced.

For Training, one to one sessions must be cancelled with 48 hours’ notice. The total session fee will be charged or, for the 8 session puppy course, the session will be lost from the programme.

Payments

At Sarre’s we accept payments via bank transfer, cheque or cash. If you are paying by bank transfer, please identify your transfer with the name of your dog, your surname and week/month ending you are paying for. This may sound like a lot of information but bookings can be made in a variety of ways and sometimes people’s social media names aren’t their actual names! Who knew!?!

Our Bank details are:

Account Name: Sarre’s Boarding and Training

Sort Code: 203532

Account Number: 73030741

We kindly ask that all accounts for Day Care are settled weekly, or monthly if you have a regular booking. Accounts for Boarding can be paid when the dog arrives at Sarre’s or on collection at the end of their stay. Accounts for training sessions, other than block bookings, can be settled immediately after the training session or by the end of the week. If you are undertaking the 8 session puppy course please pay in full before the course commences.

What You Need to Bring

You will need to provide the food your dog eats and a clear way of indicating how much they have for each meal. We routinely feed 3 meals each day (breakfast, lunch and evening meal) depending on your dog’s needs. Unless your dog has specific dietary requirements, you don’t need to bring treats or snacks, we have plenty!

All dogs must be wearing a collar or harness that can remain on them for the duration of their stay. This is to ensure your dog can be safely handled in any situation. If your dog became unwell or injured, we need to ensure they have a collar or harness on so they can be moved safely. You will also need to bring their leads for arrival and collection.

We are happy to give your dog prescribed medications. These need to be labelled with clear directions for administration.

You can bring a small piece of bedding if they are boarding but this is optional, we don’t need their beds or crates. You don’t need to bring toys, as we can’t guarantee their safe return, and we have a large variety of toys available.

Special Requirements

As we try to make your dog’s time with us as stimulating as possible, we are considerate of their individual needs within the Day Care environment. Should your dog require any specific treatment, handling or have any medical needs please discuss these with the team prior to booking with us. We need to ensure the health and safety of the dogs in our care, as well as the team looking after them. This doesn’t mean that your dog can’t attend Day Care or Board at Sarres’s. We have many dogs stay with us with a variety of needs that we manage, but we need to ensure that this is the right environment for your dog.

Unfortunately, we can’t accept female dogs when they are in season. We also don’t accept male dogs that haven’t been neutered over 6 months old. We are happy to discuss the signs of the maturing male puppy with you and when would be a good time to neuter if that is what you want to do. Dogs, like people, all mature at slightly different times but there are certain signs that are a give-away! If your dog has attended Day Care or Boarded with us, please don’t be offended if we suggest that they may be ready for neutering. If that is not something you want for your dog, that’s not a problem but you will need to make alternative arrangements for Day Care and Boarding.

Data Protection Policy

At Sarre’s we want to ensure that we provide quality services that meet your needs. This means that we want to comply with all legislative requirements, giving you confidence in us. Part of this is letting you know what personal information of yours we keep and how that information is used and stored. As a Data Controller (fancy title for someone who keeps your information as part of the services we provide) the personal information we collect is your name, address, and other contact details. We may disclose these details to a veterinary practice should your dog required veterinary treatment while in Sarre’s care.
